A few week ago,Air Tran–an American airline–kicked off a family when their 3-year old daughter threw a tantrum and refused to sit down. The mother wanted to hold her child, but the flight attendants wouldn’t allow it.
As a result, the family had to get off the plane without their stuff. While they were given a refund for their flight, they weren’t allowed to get on another Air Tran flight for 24 hours.
Our critical question is this: Is it fair to kick anybody off of a plane after they have paid for their travel? Should people causing a disturbance be asked to leave?
