Like the Bolivian president, Evo Morales, Hugo Chavez, President of Venezuela, claims to be a socialist leader interested in the poor of his country. He has also just threatened to take over food stores that are selling meat at higher than the government prices.
He says that he is doing this because it is hurting the people in his country. Many supermarkets have stopped selling beef, milk and sugar because of this. Some have even been closed.
So our critical question is should the people in Venezuela be concerned about how much power Chavez has?
