Robots…or Not?

Irobot

This podcast is a cry and a shame.  Well, at least that’s some of the emotions that robots will feel if Project Feelix Growing goes as planned.  Giving robots the intelligence to have emotions is what Feelix roboticists are going for.

It is our job to debate if this notion to give emotion to the bots is a good idea.  Here’s what we think:

So what do you think?  Should Project Feelix continue, or should it be stopped?  Leave us a comment to share your thinking and join us again soon on The Blurb.

I do not think that this development will hurt anyone. I also do not believe that robots will have the same intelligence or feelings that humans have.
I think if the private sector wants to pursue this endeavor than they should be allowed to put their dollars where they so desire.
However,if my tax dollars are spent figuring out how to make a robot cry I will have a problem. I would most likely give my elected senator or congressman an email if they tried this in the US.

I don’t think that the scientists should be giving the robots emotions. If a robot gets mad at someone/something, it might decide it wants to punch that person, and someone could get seriously hurt!
