What Did You Think??!!?

Question20marksmlCyberschool is rapidly coming to an end here at the Blurb.  In fact, we only have about 6 days left!  It seems like only yesterday that we made our first ever post.  Now—124 countries, 50 states and just about 20,000 page views later—our digital adventure is coming to an end!

Like all good writers, our goal was to appeal to an audience.  After all, if you write but nobody listens, did you really ever write at all?

So we want to know what you thought of us?  Which articles did you like the best?  Which did you like the least?  Did you enjoy our podcast recordings?  Did you visit often?  What could we have done better?  What is the one thing that you wouldn’t change about our work?

Better question:  What do you think we should do with The Blurb now that our year is almost over?  Should we have a giant deleting party and erase everything we’ve created?  Should we keep The Blurb going somehow over the summer?  Should we start it up again in the fall?

Will you be listening?

Looking forward to hearing what you think,

The Blurbers—-who have had fun becoming cyber-superstars!

I think that we should give the Blurb a rest over the summer, and come back with a bang at the start of Cyberschool next year. I really want to continue working on the Blurb and making podcasts next year, but I am not quite sure how, seeing as I will have a new teacher for Cyberschool.
So I say: Keep the Blurb going strong, and don’t delete all of our hard work throughout the year!

    Blurbers,
Great job with the site this year; I had a blast reading the posts and listening to the podcasts.
“What do you think we should do with The Blurb now that our year is almost over?”
    – Summers are very busy times; I would shut it down and list the date at the top when new Content will appear. You could repost some of the topics that did not have big responses.
Another idea would put a disclaimer on the top of the site saying that you have ” Gone Fishin” and will be back at the beginning of the school year.
“Should we have a giant deleting party and erase everything we’ve created?”
    – Not until you begin next year.
“Should we keep The Blurb going somehow over the summer?”
    – Summer should be spent outside enjoying the world around you. Parks, Lakes, Hiking, etc… The Blurb fanclub will be back- Post it and they will come.
“Should we start it up again in the fall?”
    – YES
“Did you enjoy our podcast recordings?”
–Good stuff. Helped to hear how 2 individuals with differing opinions observed and reacted to a current event.
“What could we have done better?”
    – I would have liked to see more responses from the students; many topics did not have responses or when they did there was limited responses.
Maybe more awareness among the students families at the beginning of the school year or mandatory assignments that require a post every other week from students.
    – Spellcheck option (not sure if this is even possible on these sites)
    – Slow down the number of posts. 2/week maximum. Your links to Opus and MWWB provides me with enough content. I would post/visit these sites more with less posts on The Blurb.
What is the one thing that you wouldn’t change about our work?
    – the 2 sides of an issue is great and the links to others is also nice
Thank you blurbers for your site; it helped me through a long cold Winter. The enthusiasm by the students is great to hear.
Keep up the great work and enjoy your summer off!

—Please Thank Pat Schiila the Beat Gorilla for his opening music for me…

As a moving up student from cyberspace, I think we should place a date to say when we will have freash blurber jr.’s.
In the summer if we can find funny events we can post them. Or if Bam Bam Bigalo makes up another scorching song he can record it for many years to come.
