So the Hamster has been polishing his interview skills again. In this recording, he sits down with Butterball (no relation to everyone’s favorite Thanksgiving feast) and talks about what sixth grade was like in 1977.
Aren’t you curious? I mean 1977 was a long, long time ago, wasn’t it?
My favorite part of the interview was when Butterball describes his sixth grade teacher’s love of paper: "Mrs. Larsen used a lot of paper. A whole lot of paper. They must have had a really big…mimeograph machine."

Great job on your podcast interviews. I liked this one with “Butterball,” as it brought me back to MY sixth grade memories in, umm, 1978, and I seem to remember the purple ink of mimeographs, too. Thankfully, we don’t use those things anymore!
I also had a very dynamic sixth grade teacher — Mr. Dudak — who jumped around the room and did all sorts of strange antics to keep us engaged and involved in our learning. While other teachers have faded from memory, he remains.
